In Lucerne there's a quite nice café on the shore of Lake Lucerne (or Vierwaldstättersee) called Luz. Here I couldn't resist sketch people fastly while drinking my tea.
Then I met Urs Lauber to see how he conducts his Urban Sketchers' course. People sketching is great to sketch as well.
On the way home. On the train another opportunity to sketch people... specially when they are using the mobile!
Urban sketch in Switzerland... difficult to separate the country side from the urban areas... in Switzerland one can't see hard edges between city and countryside, what makes this country so charming! :-)
This idyllic landscape is just behind the building where I live in Hochdorf, in Canton Lucerne.
Ja, ich war heute bei Boesner, nur um einen Bildrahmen zu kaufen... plötzlich hatte ich Lust auf einen Tee und dann... ist ein Sketch geboren!
What a sunny Spring! So nice to observe people working in their garden, everything turning colourful again...
At the lake in Horw (Vierwaldstättersee).
So much to see, so much to sketch... Paris smells like art (and other things too, but it doesn't matter now). Lots of opportunities to sketch people inside the subway - I had the feeling, that people just don't care to be drawn. One sit in front of me even asked me to be draw! I promissed him (Tim) to send his sketch by e-mail. No, I don't rip pages out of my sketchbook, but I can scan it...
Ouside was not so warm but sunny. Once I went to Paris to visit an uncle, I didn't go to museums or other touristic sights. I spent my time mostly in a café or in a park - perfect to sketch. But time was short, so I just did few coloured sketches, some intentional unfinished.
Today did the office an excursion in Beromünster. Before I meet my collegues, I went to the Chorhof St. Michael to see those wonderful houses.
And finishing the day at my parents-in-law home in Altdorf. View from the window to the monastery (background).
Another warm and sunny day in Lucerne, a reason to go sketch other sites of Lucerne...
This time I was on the other side of the river, sketching the Lucerne Jesuit Church, the first large baroque church in Switzerland (1673).
What a weather! I can't stay at home with a such sunny day! People are happy on the streets like celebrating the return of the spring. I'm one of them! Here another view from Lucerne.
Mulhouse is a French small town over the border of Switzerand. There's a quite nice Zoo and Botanic Garden, where I spent a warm sunny afternoon practicing sketches...
This is a nice log house in the park, surrounded by this "jungle".
That's me drawing the second sketch.
Horw (LU): Lunch break sketching the view from the office's window. I'd prefer to have the Pilatus mountain in background instead of the Pilatus Market...
Easter market in Bremgarten, a good reason to know the town. What a gorgeous place! It was my first time in this medieval town in the Canton of Aargau. The medieval and other old buildings are so good maintained, so beautiful... I didn't have enough! Unfortunately it was pretty cold outside, I couldn't sketch more...a good excuse to return here!
Crazy weather today... Sun, rain, wind, even a bit of snow! That's Easter! Here the view from outside of my window... without snow.
In the evening, everything ready for the bruschetta! :-)
